Refund policy

At Car Audio Zone, we are committed to providing high-quality products and services. This policy outlines the conditions under which returns, refunds, and exchanges may be accepted. We comply fully with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act of New Zealand.


Change of Mind

  • We do not accept returns or provide refunds for change-of-mind purchases.

  • If the product is unopened, unused, and in the original packaging, you may request an exchange within 7 days of the purchase date.

  • A valid proof of purchase is required.

  • Items must be in resalable condition. We reserve the right to decline exchanges that do not meet this standard.


Faulty or Damaged Items

  • If the product is faulty, defective, or arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of receiving it.

  • We will assess the issue and, if it meets the criteria under the Consumer Guarantees Act, we will offer a repair, replacement, or refund.

  • Faults caused by incorrect installation, misuse, or physical damage are not covered.


Installed Items

  • If we have provided installation services, the product cannot be returned unless it is found to be faulty.

  • Professional installation is required to validate the warranty on specific products. DIY installation that results in damage may void any warranty claims.


Shipping & Delivery

  • Orders are shipped within 2 to 3 working days (Monday to Friday) via NZ Post.

  • If you do not receive your item within 7 working days, please contact us on 027 531 7000.


How to Request a Return

  1. Contact us at caraudiozonenz@gmail.com or 027 531 7000 with your order details.

  2. If eligible, you will be given return instructions.

  3. Return shipping is at the customer's expense unless the item is confirmed to be faulty.
